New Adventures

Updated: Feb 23, 2020

This past weekend, we ventured into something new. Something the kids like to call “vlogging”. Yep! That’s right!

We are officially YouTube Vloggers!

If you know me, you know this is way out of my comfort zone! For as outgoing as I am, I was actually extremely self conscious for a majority of my life. That being said, I feel it’s important to raise my daughter to never be self conscious. I want her to NOT care what people think. And over the years, I have learned to do this myself! Life is too short to care what others opinions are, especially the negative ones. Find something you are passionate about and shout it from the rooftops! This YouTube channel is just another step in putting our lives out there and our love of everything Disney!

The whole process of starting our channel took about 6 months. In between working and traveling, I was filming, editing, buying domains and being a Mom. Now, we pretty much have a routine which has made the vlogging possible in my schedule. Plus, my daughter knows that all of the blogging and vlogging allows me to see her more so she’s totally on board!

Surprisingly, it’s not technically my first experience on YouTube. I made Kyli’s one year adoption video a few years back. That video still makes me ugly cry to this day! I rewatched it recently and it ultimately is fueling my fire to share our life with others.

With my grandparents having passed over a decade now, I find myself telling Kyli stories of hilarious times with my Pap. These stories usually are followed up by a million questions from her. I can show her old photos and describe what happened but I have no video footage. I would give anything to hear my Pap’s laugh again on film. A solid laugh that made others around him start to laugh. Oddly enough, Kyli has a hilarious laugh as well.

It makes me wonder if before God sent me Kyli, that an Angel intervened. I think my Pap

Pap walked right up to him and said:

“Can I ask a favor? If you’re sending my Granddaughter a miracle, give her child with an infectious laugh. Heather loves to laugh. It will remind her of me. She will know I’m still with her every day when her daughter laughs.”

Thinking this warms my heart. I believe he watches us and laughs non stop up there when we start laughing down here. I’ll thank him for it again one day.

I’m doing the vlog for selfish reasons. Truly!

I’m capturing our magical moments so when I’m an old lady, I can look back and rewatch all of our great family memories and well...LAUGH! Who doesn’t want to laugh themselves to death at 95?!?! Count me in!

Check out our first video below! It’s not perfect but it’s us!

Stay tuned for more adventures. You never know how far we’ll go!
